The January Transfer Window is almost over, and we are still waiting for that big signing, which is looking less likely to happen. The football world was hit hard, like most industries by Covid this year, and the loss of fans in the stadiums = huge revenue losses. These stadiums sometimes can be filled 6 x more than your average NHL arena. Barcelona’s Camp Nou can seat 99,354 fans, while the Winnipeg Jets arena only holds 15294 fans. That’s a big difference in people and money! Now there are some deals happening, but most teams are looking for low budget moves, to get through the end of the season and reassess in the summer, or young cheap prospects to help for years to come.
